Our Story

It all began in 2015 at California State University, Northridge. Miguel and Maribel were both pursuing their dreams in business—he in Business Operations, she in Business Management. Fate brought them together when they were paired for a semester-long group project. For four months, they spent countless hours studying, presenting, and navigating the challenges of student life.

Though their paths continued to cross often in business classes, their bond remained one of friendship. They leaned on each other for support, motivation, and the occasional pep talk during midterms and finals. Maribel graduated in 2017, and Miguel followed a year later. They stayed in touch, meeting up from time to time between 2018 and 2020, never imagining that something more was quietly waiting to blossom.

Then, in the summer of 2020 amid the stillness of a world paused by a pandemic... everything changed. On July 28, Miguel showed up at Maribel’s doorstep with a bouquet of flowers and a heart full of courage. They shared dinner and memories, laughter and quiet moments. And as the evening came to a close, Miguel asked Maribel a simple question that would change everything: “Will you be my girlfriend?”

Maribel was surprised—she hadn’t seen it coming. After years of being single, she was hesitant. But something in her heart whispered, “What’s the worst that can happen?” With a smile, she said yes.

Four beautiful years later, filled with love, growth, and shared dreams, Miguel asked another question, "Will you Marry Me?" this time surrounded by their closest friends and family on December 14, 2024. And again, Maribel said yes.

Now, their story continues as they prepare to say “I do”—ready to walk hand in hand into their forever.
